IT Business Partner

Planeta Formación y Universidades currently has 100,000 students representing more than 114 nationalities. Our training provision is offered in face-to-face centres in Spain, France, Italy, Morocco, Egypt, USA and Colombia in addition to online and blended options. Thanks to this flexible approach, more than 500 programmes are delivered each year in prestigious universities, business schools, partner universities and vocational training centres.

Under the responsibility of the Training and Universities Division Director, the position involves the following key roles and responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in the articulation of IT projects in the short, medium and long term that maximize the business value of investments in Technology (in cooperation with the management committees of our institutions and various departments, including: Business Technology - Business Solutions, Portfolio Management, Service Delivery, …)
• Provide leadership, and function as a reference point for Business Technology in the management committees of our institutions, governing all aspects related to projects, services, risks and value of investments
• Provide leadership in the change towards a more Transformational Business Partnership model (gradual introduction of technological innovations and disruptive solutions)
• Provide effective management of the relationship with our institutions’ stakeholders, increasing collaboration and transparency between Business Technology and these institutions
• Management of a team of 5 people.

Requirements:

• Qualified to higher education level
• 10 years of experience in the IT sector, preferably but not necessarily in the academic field (Strategic Business Planning, Project Planning, Budget Management)
• Knowledge of institutional business strategy, and the value and impact of Technology and Processes
• Leadership skills, strategic planning, problem solving, negotiation, project management, communication skills and a result-oriented focus
• A fluent level in English is essential, and an advanced level in French necessary. A knowledge of Spanish would be a plus.

Job conditions:

• The position will be based in Paris on one the School’s main campus, requiring travel in France and internationally (specifically in Barcelona)
• Conditions and remuneration package in line with the successful candidate’s profile and experience
• Full-time management contract, with a 4-month probationary period
• The new IT Business Partner will be expected to take up their appointment as soon as possible.
